About me.

I am a PhD candidate at ETH Zurich, currently visiting at the University of Amsterdam. I have gained my previous education from ETH Zurich, the University of Oxford, and the University of Mannheim.

My work combines in-depth, fieldwork-intensive methods with rigorous quantitative methodology to generate new insights into the causes and effects of conflict displacement, an inherent feature of civil wars that likely implies dreadful suffering for affected populations. My PhD project is fully funded by a research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation.

I have a vital interest in the promotion of equal educational opportunities for children and youth with disadvantageous backgrounds. Outside of my academic work, I have engaged in various projects dedicated to inspire young people to discover and pursue their individual talents.

The pictures on this website have been taken during my visits to Sri Lanka, the primary field work site for my PhD dissertation.
